Green Cross Health, pharmacy brands Unichem and Life Pharmacy to observe lung health Month

We acknowledge the increasingly important role community pharmacists have in raising awareness and identifying those who may be at risk of lung disease.

For many, the community pharmacist is recognised as the go to health professional, because individuals can speak with a pharmacist free of charge, without an appointment and in confidence.

Lung Foundation New Zealand is very pleased to announce a partnership with Green Cross Health which sees 354 community Pharmacies throughout New Zealand under the Unichem and Life Pharmacy brands joining with us to;
– observe lung health and lung cancer awareness month (November) to increase awareness about the symptoms of lung disease / lung cancer and save lives through early detection.
– provide pharmacy staff, colleagues and patients ease of access to lung health and lung cancer patient resources.

Pharmacy staff are always on hand to talk to patients about how long they’ve had symptoms, or have been using over the counter medicine and whether they have spoken to their GP.
